Please note that the cost of your Theory Test (£31) and your Practical Driving Test (£62) are payable to the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). These can be booked online at www.dsa.gov.uk - If you need help with booking these tests please ask me.
Other booking arrangements can be arranged on request. Most people take between 30 and 40 hours to attain a standard which will give them a good chance of passing their driving test. This is in addition to any private practice taken with relatives or friends. The course will follow the DSA’s tried and tested syllabus for providing quality instruction to Learner drivers but may be adapted if needed to suit individual needs and rates of progress.
Individual lessons will be no less than one hour in duration but one and a half hour sessions can be more time and cost effective and less rushed. Many people find one and a half hours to be a useful time period for adequate practice on a lesson subject and for effective learning to take place. The hourly rate may be discounted as detailed above for both Pay as You Learn and block bookings, therefore reducing the overall cost of your learning. Please enquire for a price if your individual circumstances are not catered for on this page. (Please note: block booking prices are per hour, NOT per lesson).
Please let me know if you do not have access to suitable computer facilities on which you can use the DVD software as i can advise you on alternatives available in printed form.
If you are happy with your experience of learning to drive with Thwaites driver training then please tell your friends - if not, then please tell me! John Howard.
