As with most beginners I didn’t know what I was doing at first, but as John is an easy going guy he broke each stage down for me and made me feel more confident in what i was doing. Once I was comfortable in what I was doing I found myself picking up the driving skills very quickly. As I was coming closer to my practical test John decided he was getting a new car... which in the end up helped me even more because you are able to see more of what’s around you in the new car. I passed first time with the help from John :) - In my opinion he’s a very good instructor, someone who you will find easy to get along with and very patient when developing your driving skills. I also enjoyed myself whilst learning with John, despite the difficult bits - but that’s all part of learning to drive!

Aklimah - Keighley

I started taking lessons with John as a complete beginner. He is definitely an easygoing guy and somebody you can get along with. He put me at ease when driving and made me feel confident in my driving abilities. I would recommend him to everybody. Thanks for everything John!


Darryl Dobson - Keighley

I had a few lessons before I met John through my friend, but I was not confident at all with my driving and hadn’t even done my theory test. When I started doing lessons, John made me feel much more confident, so I put in for my theory, and I passed it first time.
I had a few more lessons and then john said I was ready for my test. Again I wasn’t confident but John helped me, and today I passed first time,
John also helped my mate, who also passed first time thanks to John.

I began to learn with John as a complete beginner. He was very supportive and helped build my confidence. If I had any weaknesses John would be happy to help me work on them. He was flexible with lessons and he arranged times that were convenient for both of us. John also let me choose what I wanted to practice during the lessons leading up to my test. I passed first time thanks to John and went on to complete the Pass Plus scheme with him. A great instructor! Cheers.

When I started driving with John I had already taken quite a lot of lessons. John motivated me to book a driving test and encouraged me to work towards the date I had booked. He improved my basic driving skills and taught me new techniques which I found very useful. John made driving fun and relaxing and I would recommend him to anyone!


Joel Davison - Eldwick

I had around 30 hours of lessons over 6 months. I found John a very patient man as I had a lot of lessons on basic control and he was understanding that everyone progresses at different speeds. He is also a flexible teacher with times as he fit my lessons around my working hours. His car is always clean and well maintained as John has previously worked as a car mechanic. Although John always had a lesson plan for me, on occasion he was happy to alter the lesson to work on any driving weaknesses i had. I passed first time and I have since recommended John to my friends and also my younger brother, who has just started his driving lessons with John.

I was a complete beginner when I began lessons with John and was not even aware of which pedal was which, yet he has now guided me through all the way to passing my test.  John was patient and extremely supportive while I was learning and he made each lesson challenging which was great. He also makes the learning environment fun and made me feel at ease when learning to drive resulting in enjoyable lessons and a fast rate of improvement.  I always finished each lesson with a smile on my face and a sense of achievment after each challenging lesson was completed so.... If you are wanting to learn to drive with a fun and easy-going instructor then John is the man for you !

John started teaching me as a beginner and always really encouraged me with my lessons and the study for the theory test. I liked John’s down to earth way of explaining things which taught me that a lot of driving is down to common sense. Now I have passed my driving test I have got my own van which has enabled me to get to my work as a plasterer so cheers mate and thanks to a good teacher!

I began to learn with John as a complete beginner. From the very first lesson John was very supportive and talked through everything step by step. Any problems I had were sorted quickly and efficiently and anything I needed extra practice at was taken into consideration in plenty of time. Because of this I looked forward to each lesson as I knew I would continue to progress under John’s guidance. As with all the other students I finished each lesson with a sense of achievement and smile on my face. I passed in 25 hours, all of which were arranged at a time to suit me and John was never late.
